Terms of Service

Who you are contracting with

MetaMagican (“MetaMagican”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is operated by John Smith Kristiansen under the JSK Consulting brand. By accessing or using the platform you enter into an agreement with John Smith Kristiansen as the legal operator of the service.

Acceptance

By using MetaMagican you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Continued use after updates to these terms constitutes acceptance.

The service & AI-assisted nature

MetaMagican provides AI-assisted metadata recommendations generated from uploaded audio, orchestration analysis, DSP extraction, metadata signals, and machine-learning systems. Results are recommendations only. Users remain responsible for reviewing and confirming metadata before distribution or publishing.

We continue to refine the platform during early access. Core functionality is stable and intended for production use; we welcome feedback to improve recommendation quality.

Your content & intellectual property

You retain all rights to audio you upload and to the metadata generated from it. We claim no ownership over your music. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any track you submit.

The MetaMagican name, interface, models, and underlying systems remain our intellectual property.

Subscriptions, credits & cancellation

Free usage is provided without a contract. Pro subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and can be managed at any time from your account. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — your plan stays active until then, with no forced lockouts.

Credits power individual analyses and generations. Consumed credits are non-refundable. Unused credits within an active subscription remain available until the period ends.

Refunds for duplicate charges, billing errors, or technical payment failures are available — see our Refund Policy for the full terms.

Payment processing

Payments are securely processed by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record. Charges may appear on your statement as Paddle or MetaMagican via Paddle. Paddle handles tax collection where applicable.

Acceptable use

• No infringing, unlawful, or harmful content.
• No automated abuse, scraping, or attempts to bypass rate limits.
• No reverse engineering of the underlying models or service.
• No use of outputs to harass, defame, or mislead third parties.

Account termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, cause abuse, or create risk for the platform or other users. Where reasonable, we will notify you first and give you a chance to respond.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided as-is and as-available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MetaMagican, John Smith Kristiansen, and the JSK Consulting brand are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the product or via email where possible.
